Travelling (oh, and studying)

After my first few weeks in university, I’ve found people who have a common interest with me: travel. I have spoken to a few people who took a gap year to travel, which is what I did. This made me wonder: would people like to study overseas, and if so, where would they want to study?

I asked a few people where they would choose if they had the chance. The answers are not atypical but are interesting. Although many answers were similar, there were different reasons for everyone’s choices.

The students all vary in the courses being studied and in universities they attend.

  1. If you could study anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  2. Why would you go there?

Many students choose to study overseas–whether for the experience, for the sightseeing, or simply just to get away. Other students find even the thought of studying overseas daunting, and shy away from the idea. I asked a group of people where they would study if they had the chance to study anywhere in the world. The mixed answers show just how different people get when it comes to the idea of student exchange, and the reasons they would choose the places they did.
